Do you use epinephrine when removing elk antlers?

No, producers sign a certification confirming that no epinephrine or similar anesthetics are used during antler removal. Additionally, elk bulls from which velvet antlers are harvested have not received any medications or drugs containing epinephrine within 120 days prior to harvest.

What is given to the elk to minimize pain?

To ensure minimal discomfort, a local anesthetic without epinephrine is administered. Our elk handlers are trained professionals in humane antler removal.

When are the antlers harvested each year?

Elk naturally shed their antlers each spring around March 21. New antler growth begins soon after, and we harvest them in their velvet stage approximately 67 days into growth. This stage is optimal, as antlers grow rapidly—the fastest-growing tissue in the world. We harvest them humanely within a brief three-day window before they begin to calcify, ensuring top quality.

Do your products contain any fillers?

No, our products are made with 100% pure velvet antler and contain no additives, fillers, or preservatives.

Are your products third-party tested?

How do you care for elk throughout their lives?

Our elk roam naturally on hilly, rocky terrain, which helps them maintain healthy hooves. They graze on native plants, shrubs, and leaves, which provide natural health benefits and eliminate the need for antibiotics or synthetic drugs. After antler removal, they receive only natural parasite control treatments.

Do you use the hair around the antler in your supplements?

No, the hair surrounding the antler is removed and discarded as it is not suitable for human consumption.

Is high heat generated when grinding elk velvet antler into powder?

Our grinding process uses a specialized T-bar grinder to minimize heat. Unlike disk mills, which can generate excessive temperatures, this method keeps heat low while producing a fine powder for optimal digestion and nutrient absorption.
